Sherry Solow is a contemporary realist landscape painter living near Bronxville,New York. She is a self taught artist creating her world through drawings and paintings having started at the age of 10.
Went to the high school of music and art and the National Academy of fine art in New York City. Her works have been shown in the Salmagundi Club in Manhattan, the upstream Gallery in Hastings, New York Presbyterian, Westchester, the Idea Kitchen in Larchmont, the Mamaroneck artist Guild in Larchmont and the Croton River Artisans Gallery in Croton-on Hudson.
Her work reflects nature and beauty by creating peaceful tranquility in a chaotic world. Her use of perspective and color creates realistic impressions of life and nature. Her use of light and dark contrast and perspective pulls the spectator into her work. One feels not that you’re looking at the painting, but that you are living in the painting.
